Do you know how to buy an LCD TV?
My partners and I can go back and forth for a good while on the subject of plasma vs. LCD, with the majority of us siding with the LCD for gaming purposes and the lower counted of energy used to power them however. The value are proportional and there are advantages to both. If you have done your research and decided, just like i did, that an LCD with is what you want, here are a couple tips to help you along your way.

Budget
You must figure out much cost you want to spend first. It can be voluminous when you walk in to large retailers and are immersed in rows upon rows of liquid crystal heaven, but keep your wits about you. Specially in these times, if your budget is $1,000, you do not want to kick yourself after blowing twofold that and then having to reduce your huge 50 inch into size 10×10 studio apartment.

Setting Up
For sparing space and maximize the room’s distance, wall mounting is the way to go. There are another methods and this is thick an extra service with an extra charge, that cost depending on who your technician is. Don’t forget ask your technician how much it cost and factor that charge into your budget. Rather, do not forget about those HDMI cables. You will need a conjunction to install the LCD and they run about $85 each, again, depend on where you go. I had done a little survey beforehand and was lucky enough to get a value match plus some other discount when I said I perhaps go to the competitor down the street and save money on them.

Compare
Try to compare the retailers and the specialty stores about price on. But mostly of the specialty stores has in depth knowledge & those are really quite helpful, but their prices are generally a bit high priced than the retailer as well. You can find deals online and typically save a few hundred bones, but remember to factor in your delivery charges to personally, I did not want to risk opening my brand new TV and saw a shattered screen and then bursting into eye tears, that would happen, it is just my own stupefaction. Compare the brand Samsung, Sony, LG, and such it. Or, you can save some money by going with a lesser known brand that has the same potentiality and comparable quality. This is a personal option & everyone has a variant opinion on it.

Size
Speaking of size.. it does react. See that you have the space in, where it is going in, measure how far the couch or spot area you have. The recommended distances for ideal viewing are 6-8 feet for 32-37 inches, 3-5 feet away for 20-27 inches, 10-14 feet for 42-46 inches, and 50 inches should be about 12-16 away. Once more, think about how big your room is. In case you are still living in a small room at mom’s and dad’s, maybe you wanna stay with the 32-37 range.

Shop
Ask your partners and see how you like their set ups. Look through TV commercials, online, holiday sales, newspaper ads, whatever, and be lenient. Nothing worse rather than a rushed purchase and knowing your television for $300 but not better with other place. Whatever you selection, be sure you luxuriate it.

This should be a source of relaxation and entertainment, unless you are playing halo 3 in which case it is a center for ritual butt kicking. Ha ha ha… Happy smart hunting!
